Capturing Rigby: The Global Photo Challenge WHAT A PICTURE!

One challenge. Dozens of entries. Seven winners.

When we launched the Rigby 50 Global Photo Challenge, we asked colleagues everywhere to capture what makes Rigby Group: diverse, dynamic, people-driven, and proudly international.

Fittingly, for our 50th anniversary, we had 50 entries. From beautiful sunsets and the warmth of our hotels to colleagues getting together and rainbows over our offices, every photo told a story.

And here are the winners!

A Moment That Says It All: Best Overall - £500

Eva Díaz, SCC Spain - “Inclusión”

Eva’s stunning winning image was taken in Calpe, Valencia, and is all about what it represents. For her, the scene speaks to diversity and inclusion in the workplace - a reminder of how important it is that everyone feels welcome and able to belong. It’s a simple, thoughtful photograph with a powerful idea behind it, and a fitting overall winner from one of our international teams.

Runners-Up (£250 each)

Kat Cooke, SCC UK - “Celebrating a Win”

Kat’s photo captures the moment SCC was announced as Reseller of the Year at the 2019 CRN Awards for the first time - a huge achievement for the business and the people behind it. Pictured with colleague Chris Leng, she describes the “amazing feeling” of hearing SCC’s name called. The image is a snapshot of shared success, hard work paying off, and the pride of representing your team on a big stage.

Roberto González, SCC Spain - “More Than a Team”

Everyone in Roberto’s picture works or has worked for SCC. After office hours, they used to get together to play football, unwind and stay connected, and over many years the group have become firm friends. The photo is full of team spirit and affection, and a brilliant example of how strong bonds can form well beyond the office.

Jonathan Wright, SCC UK - “Vietnam: Meeting the Team”

Jonathan’s image marks a long-awaited moment: finally meeting, in person, one of the first SCC Vietnam teams formed when the operation opened. On his visit he saw the new comms room and the work that’s enabling continued expansion and capabilities in Vietnam. What stands out for him is the team’s positivity, commitment and how closely they work together - all underpinned by the same Rigby family values he’s seen across countries over decades.

Highly commended (£100 each)

Tim Kenny, SCC UK - “Race of the Heart”

Tim’s photograph shows colleagues from SCC France and SCC UK competing together as one team in the Course du Coeur - an 800km relay race from Paris to Les Arcs. The event raises awareness of organ donation in France and runs day and night for four days, crossing more than 200 towns. SCC has taken part multiple times, and this image celebrates both the cause and the cross-border teamwork behind it.

Gary Wilkinson, SCC UK - “SCC Enterprise Begins”

Gary’s entry takes us back 23 years, to shortly after SCC’s acquisition of Acuma, which helped form SCC Enterprise. It’s a classic team shot from a key moment in the Group’s growth. Several people in the picture - including Julie Wilson, Gary himself and Lee Crew - are still with SCC today, while others later moved across when SCC sold ETC Distribution. It’s a great reminder of how teams evolve, and how many careers have grown with the business.

Mihai Crișan, Eden Hotel Collection - “Timeless Bovey”

Mihai’s photograph celebrates the timeless charm and natural beauty of Bovey Castle. In his words, the setting is a constant source of inspiration - every visit revealing a new moment, atmosphere or detail to capture. The image reflects his passion for both photography and the place itself, and speaks to the care and craft that go into our hotel environments.
